Anyone can benefit from learning and practicing mindfulness, whatever background, age, gender or life experience. There is no book learning or note taking during the course, mindfulness is learned by experiencing different practices in a gentler accepting atmosphere. Regular home practice during the course with recorded guidance is strongly recommended.

Before the eight week course starts the teacher will have a discussion with each participant to find out whether the course is right for them. If a person has experienced major live events recently, the teacher might sometimes advise them to wait before joining the course.
