Graduates' comments

Suffolk Mindfulness: Dunwich Heath

"I've found mindfulness very helpful as a practice in my every day life. The course taught me how to apply it and provided a number of different practices for me to use. I've had to work at it but I've found that with regular use my symptoms of anxiety and depression have lessened and become more manageable. It's not a panacea, but it is a very helpful tool that I use on a regular basis."

"It has been a revelation to learn to slow down and to be more present and quieten the judgemental voice."

" I have learned  to put time aside for myself, listening my own thoughts and understanding the pressure I put on myself. Reflecting internally helps me to value who I am as an individual and nurture my soul. I have learned to value my life and existence.

"The practice of Mindfulness has helped me to cope with my spouse's Alzheimers and my own diagnosis with terminal cancer. I have learnt the importance of living in the moment and accepting what is. Rather than fighting my pain I am able to mitigate it by exploring it with kindness and curiosity. (In spite of my cynicism it really does work!)"

"The course has given me tools to take away  to help me to cope with anxiety".

" I realise that I am not the only one who struggles with my own emotions. I am managing to be calmer in difficult situations".
